Horizons GFA’s innovative, self-funded program provides access and opportunity to Bridgeport public school students from low-income families. Our tuition-free programming spans over 18 years for each student, driven by data and 25 years of consistent results, and we are proud to share the following:
- 100% of high school seniors graduated on time in 2024.
- 100% of seniors were admitted and enrolled in a post-secondary program.
- More than two-thirds of our students are first-generation in their families to attend college.
- 100% of our students gain full-time paid employment within 1 year of college graduation.
- 4 months is the average growth in PreK-8 reading level during our 1.5-month summer program.
- 3 months is the average growth in PreK-8 math level during our 1.5-month summer program.
- 100% of our high school graduates matriculate into colleges such as: Trinity College, Stanford University, Boston University, Williams College, Washington University of St Louis, and more.
