Congratulations to our 14 graduating high school seniors! Horizons held a special ceremony at GFA to honor our graduating seniors. Each student was recognized by their academic coach in meaningful and moving tributes. We look forward to supporting these wonderful young men and women as they enter the next phase of their education in the fall, college!

The Class of 2017 has exciting news: 100% of Horizons seniors were admitted to college and have finalized their college enrollments!
On the verge of their high school graduation next month, our 12th graders have worked hard to excel under the watchful eye of their academic coaches and college counselor PJ Washenko. Now all 14 will be entering college in the fall. “It just feels so surreal,” said graduating senior Khalela Stevens, “we’ve been working toward it for so long and now it’s happening!”
We are very proud of our senior class and look forward to supporting them on their college journey.
Thank you, students, families, staff, academic coaches and PJ!
Many exciting things went on at Saturday Academy this week! We welcomed our 33 new students and family members! While students were getting to know their teachers and new friends in the classroom, parents learned more about the Horizons program from Executive Director Joe Aleardi, then took a tour of GFA. Mr. Jason, our fabulous art teacher, worked his magic with our new PreK students and 6th graders. Rob Silvan of KEYS brought music to life for grades 3, 4 & 5. In a new partnership with First Serve, Bridgeport, Rob Oppenheim brought his energetic approach to teaching tennis to our 1st & 2nd graders as well as our 7th & 8th graders. Thank you students, teachers, staff & volunteers!
